PMT KB Article 6 – 017 - I wanted to pay by credit card, but I got a declined message, how do I proceed?

The declined message will have a code to help you identify how to troubleshoot accordingly. 

The most common error codes include:  

3002: You submitted an invalid card number, brand or the wrong combination of card number and brand with your request. 

Solution:  Verify the card type matches what you have selected, and a valid card number is entered. 

3009: Your request has been declined by the issuing bank. 

Solution: Contact your bank and try again. 

3022: The card has been declined due to insufficient funds. 

Solution: Split transaction amounts, or use another card as there are not enough funds available to fund your transaction. 

3024:Your request has been declined because the issuing bank does not permit the transaction for this card.  

Solution: Use a different card as the card type is not supported. 

5068: Either you submitted a request that is missing a mandatory field, or the value of a field does not match the format expected. 

Solution: Verify all fields are correct and try again.
