PMT KB Article 2 – 006 - If I pay in my local currency, what currency will my school receive?

Paymytuition converts your payment into your institution’s local currency, before delivering your funds. The funds are converted at a great exchange rate, so you don’t need to worry about currency conversion. Your payment also arrives to your educational institution in full and you can track your payments online through your own personal dashboard.

For example: Suppose Mary is located in France and is trying to pay her Tuition fees for a school located in California, United States. The amount she needs to send is $15,000 USD to cover her tuition fees. Mary would simply enter the amount,  $15,000 USD, and select France as the country she is paying from, to generate a quote in her local currency (Euros). In the example below if Mary were to accept a quote with a wire transfer payment option, she would have to send us 12,316 EUR. When we receive the 12,316 EUR, we will convert her funds from EUR to U.S., and deliver $15,000 USD to Mary’s school in California, as she requested.
